Malaysia bound 10 Rohingyas, including 8 Rohingya youths under the age of 18, from Maundaw district, Arakan State, have been arrested in Mindoon city police station, Tharak District, Magway Region, according to police sources.
10 Rohingyas, including 8 Rohingya teenagers under the age of 18 from Maungdaw District, Arakan State, were sent by human trafficking brokers to work in Malaysia. They were brought in by various stages – land and waterway- till Magway Region, Tharak District, Mintoon Township.

It is reported that they were arrested by police officers from the Mintoon City Police Station and a joint team of the Myanmar Army Security Forces based in Mintoon during a temporary stay in the Mann village track,Mindoon Township, due to the complaint of some villagers, on September 17th at 8:00 p.m and detained them at the Mintoon City Police Station.
Furthermore, Mindon Township Immigaration Department is preparing to sue under Section 6 (2) /6 (3) of the Union of Myanmar Residents Registration Act of 1949.
