My daughter hit at the bottom of the mouth, the neck, chin and hands, we take all the wounded people to MSF hospital and sent them to Chittagong Hospital. they had not yet been discharged from the hospital. Although the child is fine, there are still a lot of mortar fragments coming out. About eight of them came out from above the neck. My wife hit at two fingers. One of them is a little better. The hospital said the other finger must opreation as it hit the bone. I hope it will be well again. We opposed the moter shelling in the camp.”

The Rohingya Muslims are still worried about the safety of their lives due to the incident that took place on the Bangladesh-Myanmar border in which a person was killed due to heavy artillery fire from the Myanmar side. U Kyaw Myint, a Rohingya refugee living in Kutupalaung Refugee Camp No. 9, Bangladesh, said this about the concerns of the Rohingya from camp.

“We are witnessing continuous fighting between the AA Arakan Army and the Myanmar Army along the Bangladesh-Myanmar border. Last September (16th) due to the fighting, one person was killed when a shell hit the Zero Line Rohingya refugee camp on the border between Bangladesh and Myanmar. At least five were seriously injured. Along the border between Bangladesh and Myanmar, near the milepost (40). As a result of the fighting, it was seen that artillery shells were constantly falling on the Bangladeshi side. Now, along the Myanmar-Bangladesh border, Bangladeshi residents have been displaced. Security has been increased on this side (Bangladesh side) as well. Because of the fighting along the border, our Rohingya refugees are in a state of panic. Especially we Rohingyas are living with anxiety and worry. A few days ago, one of our young Rohingya refugees was killed by a shell. Five refugees, including a child, were seriously injured. Those children are still receiving medical treatment in a hospital in Bangladesh.”

“Certainly they all returned to their country of origin, want to be allowed to live a normal life. Therefore, we want the international community to increase pressure on the Burmese government to take responsibility for their safe return home.”

U Kyaw Myint, a Rohingya refugee, said that even though Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina appealed to the international community, the Rohingyas who had to flee for their lives due to the army’s opreation clearance and were killed in the refugee camp by shelling heavy alterlary.

“The situation to return home is uncertain. It will be five years now. We, the Rohingya, were driven out of Rakhine State. Until today, there has been no process for our repatriation. In order for us to be able to return to a situation where the two countries can communicate, but, there are battles along the border. In these refugee camps, security for the Rohingyas is also weak. We live with anxiety. For example, on September 29, It has been a year since the assassination of the leader of the Rohingya, Muhib Ullah. Remembrance ceremonies were also held in our Rohingya camps. Respectable like a teacher, even a righteous person was assassinated, so it is a great loss for us. Therefore, we would like to ask the Bangladesh government, the international community, and the United Nations to take measures to ensure security for our Rohingya refugees. Our repatriation is uncertain. We would like to earnestly request that the international community, including the United Nations, resolve our crisis as soon as possible.”

Li Jiming, the Chinese ambassador to Bangladesh, has promised that he will urge the Burmese military council to end the violations of the border of Bangladesh and to carry out the process of repatriating the Rohingya refugees as soon as possible.
