KNU/KNLA(PC) forces carrying 36 Rohingya people were arrested at the Shwe Salwin (former toll gate) joint checkpoint in Beilin Township, Mon State at about 10:00 PM on September 22, said a police officer, who did not want to be named.
The rohingya were carried from Kyai Toue to Beilin Township in 3 pirvate cars. Among those arrestee are 22 men, 14 women.
“After getting information, we were waiting at the gate, arrested the Rohingya with KNU/KNLA(PC) battalion personnal with two Hyundai cars and a Caldina car of their battalion,” said a police officer who did not want to be named.

Among the arrested 4 underage Rohingya children – 3 male and 1 female and all of them are detained at Beilin city police station for interrogation.
In a police telegram stated that 2 soldiers and 1 officer of the Karen National Union/Karen National Liberation Army – Peace Council (KNU/KNLA-PC) were carrying the Rohingya with 3 cars.
The police cable also stated that 5 KNU/KNLA-PC troops personnel with them and the 3 drivers, were arrested and 3 identification cars were seized.
Try to contact the KNU/KNLA-PC several times by telephone regarding the transportation of the Rohingya by KNU/KNLA-PC troops, but could not be reached.
The Karen National Union/Karen National Liberation Army-Peace Council (KNU/KNLA-PC) team attended the second peace talks invited by the Military Council from September 15 to 17.
