Amnesty International is asking the Facebook company must pay back to Rohingya for this matter- the methods used by Facebook, which violent killings of Rohingyas have occurred.
Amnesty International released a report on September 29, 2022, stating the company’s focus on profits alone was the cause of the Myanmar military’s brutality against the Rohingya in 2017 on its algorithmic system of Facebook social network.

Facebook’s algorithm makes Rohingya more hateful and to discriminate. It is said the content inciting terrorism had been widely distributed in the years before the terrorist killings in 2017.
Amnesty International also said the two-month-long discrimination had fueled the fire and that more brutal killings had occurred.
The AI team also said Facebook’s owner, Meta, should pay reasonable compensation for the treatment of physical injuries and mentality of the Rohingya.
RFA is still trying to ask Facebook about the AI team’s statement.
Rohingya organizations have also directly requested Facebook to pay one million US dollars for the Cox’s Bazar refugee camp education project in Bangladesh, but the Facebook company has refused to give it.
